The current custom seems to be a greedy version of its former self. If the purpose of the bridal shower is to compensate for the basic things a bride and groom need to start a home, then most couples today do not need much additional assistance. Some couples do not have much, as they are young or recent graduates of college or graduate programs. The people feeding the high end bridal shower frenzy, however, are people who already have the basic necessities. I have received countless bridal shower invitations for friends who are well established and combining two households.

Online stores are open all the time, right on your laptop, and their catalogs offer search options that brick and mortar stores’ books can only dream of having. You can even comparison shop easily with the help of tools such as Google Shopping. Online stores’ convenience and the lower cost of their invitations more than make up for any shipping fees.
Second, which style of invitation would best suit the bridal shower you are planning? You may be able to find bridal shower invites that match the wedding invitations, since many invitation styles come in sets to cover all the important events in an engagement and wedding. Or you may have a theme for the bridal shower, and a matching invitation would be an excellent grace note.

Have sharpie markers on hand, so guests can sign the bottles. Every time you and your husband open a bottle in the future, you will fondly remember the shower and the person who gave you the bottle.
Food and cooking can be the centerpiece of the party too. You can have everyone write up their favorite recipe on snazzy paper. Have a nice blank book at the party for everyone to mount their recipe in and have them add any comments on a page dedicated to that recipe.

Here are some tips to help out with the first step, which is sending out bridal shower invitations.
Since there is such a variety to choose from, bridal shower invitations can be tricky. Luckily, the sheer variety also means that there is a very good chance you will find the perfect invite for your special occasion! Analyzing the kind of ceremony and party you are looking to throw is the first step in selecting bridal shower invitations. It is important to know if the celebration is going to be very formal, or more low key. Based on this, you can select cute and fun invites for a casual event, or sophisticated and fancy invites for a formal event.

Resist the urge to get cute with the wording. You have seen horrible jokes on invitations before, so you know how easy it is for humor to go astray.
Choose coordinating envelopes, envelope seals, and other details. Having the return address preprinted will save you considerable time that you would otherwise spend buying labels and sticking them on individually. When you are done, choose how quickly you would like the package to arrive.

Take my advice, although the groom may not think bridal shower invitations are a big deal, the bride will. Brides think everything about her wedding and showers are important. Do you realize how much time women put into choosing the perfect invitation for their wedding? Well, bridal shower invitations are another detail the bride is going to be picky about. She will love you for sending out special bridal shower invitations. They will set the tone for your whole bridal shower, especially if they are really nice.

Choosing to have the return address preprinted on the envelopes will spare you the step of printing and sticking return labels as well as address labels. When you have finished, pick out a shipping speed option. Sooner is always better because extra time cushions you against the worry of losing invitations in the mail. If the party plans are in flux, rather than waiting until the last minute to buy invitations, consider sending out invitations earlier and putting up a web page for the party with the most up to date information.
When you finish, hit the “order complete” button and get ready to see your cards in the mail shortly.

To help all those who follow our footsteps, we decided to write up a summary of our lessons learned.
Make sure the bride is okay with giving you full creative license with the wedding shower invitations and the shower. That does not entail spoiling the secret or giving away all the details. Some prospective brides have been thinking about their wedding day all their lives and also have a set vision of what the shower should look like. I personally feel that brides like that should have to throw their own showers.

Unless Sir Elton John is on the guest list, I think this is superfluous. Just make sure your spelling and grammar are correct. Assure that you have the correct date, time and year on your invitations. Verify the location name and the address. Attach some directions if you know the address is confusing or does not make sense when you mapquest it.

Yes, you get to design your own bridal shower invitations too! With do it yourself packages that allow personalization, you can pick your own envelopes, jackets, pocket folds, as well as printed invitations individually. You can even buy plain cards and write your own prose. Pique the interest of your guests with a striking custom made invitation in keeping with the theme of your party, while still retaining your individuality. Whichever your choice, you are sure to find an invitation that is perfect to set the tone for your bridal shower, and with that the impending wedding too. Shopping online also allows you to view previews or order sample packages, so there are no surprises later.

)
When the bridal shower invites arrive, call over a few friends and make the stuffing and labeling into a party. Put on some loud music or a silly movie, order in food (but nothing drippy, greasy, or saucy, unless “grunge” is the wedding theme), and turn yourselves into an assembly line. Even if you have a guest list that seems to include half the town, getting the invitations ready will take no time at all.
No matter what, do not worry. The bridal shower will be fantastic.

You have now given them an excuse to buy something adorably printed with little doggies from Baby Gap.
We decided to go with a theme that made my friends feel like they were not setting an expectation of lots of gifts. I sent out shower invitations for a “Wisdom and Wives Tales” party. Guests were asked to contribute some kind of baby safety item (outlet protectors, baby gate, baby monitor, etc) and some kind of nursery supply item. Additionally, ahead of time, I sent an e mail to all those who received shower invitations requesting that they send me their favorite bit of helpful parenting advice and the silliest piece of advice they ever received.

There are many companies that advertise their Bridal Shower invitation samples on the internet. Made to order invitation cards conjured up by company representatives and resident experts are quite common. The versatility is limited only by your imagination otherwise no medium of communication ids off limit to devise that unique bridal shower invitation. Typically, company experts come down or speak to your telephonically to discuss what sort of Bridal shower invitation card you require. Companies even offer you other wedding related services.

After you have prepared everything and has gone over all the details like a good general, you must now face the task of inviting the people to the party. Now, why leave the invitation for last, you might ask? Well, for practicality’s sake you would not want the hassle of calling everyone and then resend another invitation should you have to move the date to another day. Also, of course you want a successful party where everything is perfect, right? And this includes the invitation. Therefore for it to match your perfect party, it would be better to have the invitation last. Supposing you suddenly changed your mind and decided to give a theme bridal shower invitation.

A majority of the time a great amount of time and effort is put into the thought of exactly what should be included on the invitations for a bridal shower. It may also be important for the bride to be to incorporate her own special meaning into the design and style of the invitations, which will even further add to the special memories she holds of this beautiful day that she will treasure for the rest of her life.
Ideas for the bridal shower invites can begin with the very simple of designs, to the most elaborate choices available that will match the entire theme and decor she has chosen for the wedding. Much of this will depend on the particular budget that has been set for the bridal shower, and another important factor into this choice, may even be the amount of time that you have on hand. These choices will depend greatly on the budget amount that has been set for the shower planning, and yet another important factor in the styles she chooses, may even be determined by the amount of time that the bride to be has on hand.

On the other hand, you can just pay the price for the best ones.
Bridal showers are so much fun. Bridal showers usually start with a theme and are so much fun to host. After you chose your theme, then you should choose the bridal shower invitations to go with it. Make sure you look at several and choose one that you think the bride will really like.
