A Couples Shower Invitation from a careful host
![]()
A Couples shower invitation is sent in lieu of a party held in honor of the couple who are engaged to be married before the wedding so that guests can give them gifts. The names of the couples in whose name the bridal shower is held is the most important part of a couples shower invitation. The couples shower invitation should contain the first names of the bride and groom if all the guests are familiar with their first names. A couples shower invitation mayl mention the names of the maiden name of the bride and the name of the groom or describe them as the future Mr. and Mrs X.

The couples shower invitation should mention the date on which the couples shower is to be held and the host must make sure that it is a date convenient to the couple. The time of the party must be mentioned in the couples shower invitation and some hosts also mention the time at which the party will come to an end. A couples shower invitation without clear details of the location will make it difficult for the guests to find their way. When all these details are clearly mentioned on a couples shower invitation the party will be a pleasant one all round. Wedding invitations

Theme. Another thing to consider when shopping for bridal shower invitations is the shower’s theme. Oftentimes, this theme matches the one chosen for the wedding, such as a Halloween themed shower for a Halloween wedding. Other times, it can be something racy and fun, such as a lingerie bridal shower. If you’ve chosen a theme for the shower, the bridal shower invitations should reflect that.

I have some good friends who are pregnant for the first time and due this next month. I really wanted to host a baby shower for them. They were not so keen about the whole thing when I approached them. Given that they are not the kind of people who like to be in the spotlight, I was not surprised. “So, you just send out baby shower invitations and people have to buy you things?” They asked.

The couple did not, of course, send out bridal shower invitations. They community was compelled to help. Others say the United States was the birthplace of the shower. Perhaps “shower” refers to the Victorian custom of placing gifts in a parasol, so when opened, gifts would shower down on the recipient. Regardless of where the custom began, the purpose was to compensate for an absent trousseau (hope chest) or dowry.

The general mood of the shower should correspond with the bride’s personality and interests and only the closest person can get it right.
Sending out the invitations too late or too early could be fatal; guests might have other plans or may just forget about the event all together. Two to three weeks prior to the bridal shower is the apt time to send out invitations. You’ll give guests time to clear their schedules and find that ‘perfect’ gift and it’s not so far in advance that they will forget about the Shower.
The prevailing rules of etiquette dictate that every adult be sent an individual invitation, however, in the event of a couple shower, the couple ought to be sent one common invitation.

The invitation should carry the requisite information, and adopt the right tone as well. For the more conventional types, a poetic invitation works, while the fashionable ones may opt for the latest in thing in invitation designs. As a rule, the invitation text carries to the guest the type of party it is going to be, in keeping with the bride’s preferences. A brief message that sticks to just the required details may be good enough for some, but some conventional invites go to the extent of laying down the dress code. In any case, whether it is going to be a casual tête à tête, a semi formal lunch, or a backyard cocktail party, you will find the appropriate message to put in the card.

You can also host a wine party where your guests bring a bottle of wine to donate to your newlywed wine collection. All your guests can write something on the bottles. You will smile whenever you get a new bottle out of the collection in later years, as you toast to the person who gave it to you.
Now onto a few food bridal shower themes. One idea is to have all the guests bring the recipe of their signature dish.

Interestingly, in order to keep formats of bridal showers consistent, there are proper bridal shower etiquettes. A guide to bridal shower invitations were first developed in 1920s, and it was suggested at that time that bridal shower invitations should be purely spontaneous and informal. For avoiding expenses and huge costs on bridal shower invitations, the emphasis is given on the simplicity of the event. Nowadays, bridal shower invitations are based on complex themes and special games are also organized for such events. Maid of honor is responsible for hosting the bridal shower and some people consider it rude if the relative of the bride host it.

Depending on the budget, the affair may be a grand one or a low key event. Everything depends on the maid of honor and her levels of creativity.
Before the invitations can go out, the organizers need to agree on the mood of the party, who will be invited, where it will be held and so on and so forth. Flowers, music and favors are among the many things to be selected right at the first instance which by no means is a cake walk. Mostly, bridal shower ideas will comprise a theme that will be carried through from the venue to the food and everything in between.

For getting the personalized services you can also go online and you can specify the designers about what you want. Moreover, for the invitations you can also give your requirements and wordings.
There are a number of things which you have to consider for the perfect appearance of a bridal shower invitation like the size of card, the paper being used, the theme of the invitation, cost of per unit card and color. The quality of the paper should be also selected very consciously for bridal shower invitations because it can increase the presentation of the invitation.
You should bring some important questions in your consideration for the selection of invitations like what is the best quality? What is the desirable card size? Is the price affordable for you? Another important factor for the invitation card is the wording and your call to the guest and you can select any standard wordings available on websites or you can also create special wordings.

Bridal shower invitations can be tricky because there is such a variety to choose from. Luckily, the sheer variety also means that there is a very good chance you will find the perfect invite for your special occasion! Analyzing the kind of ceremony and party you are looking to throw is the first step in selecting bridal shower invitations. It is important to know if the celebration is going to be very formal, or more low key. Sophisticated and fancy invites are best for a formal wedding, while a cute, fun invite can work very well for a more casual wedding.
Another thing you might want to consider is themes that remind you of the bride or wedding itself.
